URHERE
Platform Concept and Design Juan Diaz Bohorquez
Production: Imaginary Places
The vision with URHERE.ART was to design the platform using other interaction paradigms, particularly in a time where streaming services have standarized the access to digital content. It needed to feel unique while being extremely intuitive. Inspired by the layout of a city mapa and the game of go the result is a completely new archive interface that is playful yet easy to use and navigate.
URHERE is one-of-a-kind, rigorously curated virtual platform for outdoor and digital premieres. URHERE aims to occupy an important part of the art ecosystem which nurtures experimentation, sparks dialogue, and creates engagement with the local community.
Supporting independent artists and ensembles, URHERE expands on HERE’s mission to support multidisciplinary work made by artists at every stage of their careers. While projects may take many different forms, the platform will focus on artists whose work captures a rich cross-section of risk-taking, new perspectives, and artistic disciplines.
The visual language of the site needed to be consistent across the different sections of its archive and the specific project pages. The spatial metaphor of the project page was intended to bring the sensation of the thater space as the audience is exploring the information about each piece and they access the digital viewing.
